This 2007 animated version of the continuing adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is definitely more hit than miss(pun sorta intended). The turtles look great in the animation style but the human characters are a lil too ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’ for my liking. I also wish that the story had been a little more ‘grounded’ (I know…mutant turtles). But the actions scenes are handled well with a swift, kinetic energy that makes full use of the CG animation style while the turtles themselves have fun and appropriate characterizations. If you were ever a fan of Leo, Don, Raph and Mikey in any of their versions…you’ll probably get a nostalgic kick outta this (pun sorta intended…again). March 15 at 9:17pm
